Jake

Jake was 14 years old.  Maryalice bought him as a young dog.  He has been part of my life for almost eight years.  He followed me everywhere.  Maryalice had him "put down" Friday.  I did not agree, but it was time.  He constantly fell when walking - and would look up and wonder why.  He could not hear.  He had to be helped outside.   And, he has left a tremendous void in our home.   Barbara, a recent guest at the Legacy, put it best this morning:  " Loosing a pet is like loosing a family member.  Labs are such wonderful dogs.   The wonderful thing about a dog is they never judge us they just love us.   They accept us for who we are, they are happy with a pat on the head and they are just happy to be with us.   People can learn a lot from a dog!"   Thank you Barbara.
